Naara Eco-lodge was conceptualised, designed and built by ourselves over a period of three years. We also proudly live in Chidenguele and manage the lodge ourselves, thus ensuring the best service while we can also have enjoy our little heaven.
We believe that life has to be lived to its fulfilment, but without negatively affecting others or our planet. We believe in bringing comfort and lust in a symbiotic manner with nature and local communities. Thus, we strive to ensure that the visitor, the nature and the communities benefit from each other.
Leila Oliveira and Pablo Renk built Naara with their own hands and hearts.
Pablo is an architect that led the design and construction of Naara.
Pablo has previous experience in designing and constructing holiday accommodation in Timor-Leste. The use of materials found in the surroundings of Chidenguele and the design of a building which can bring the nature and the climate for the utmost comfort is the main feature of Naara.
Apart from constructing the lodge, Pablo loves to take our visitors in adventures, especially kite-surfing, spear-fishing and snorkelling.
Leila has been working with rural development and humanitarian relief in Southern Africa since 2001 and is in the front of most of our community projects. Leila's passion for African adventures and the ability to establish relationship with the local community represented important elements for the creation of Naara.
